Payment details are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store complete credit card information on our servers. We only retain transaction IDs and payment status for billing purposes.

Service Delivery

We use your information to provide personalized therapy sessions, generate AI-powered insights, create reports, and deliver the core functionality of our platform.

Improvement & Research

We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI models, develop new features, and conduct research into mental health patterns. Individual responses are never used without explicit consent.

Communication

We use your email to send essential account notifications, session confirmations, password resets, and important updates about our services. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Security & Fraud Prevention

We process your data to maintain platform security, prevent fraud, detect and prevent abuse, and ensure compliance with legal obligations.

Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols. Session responses and personal information are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.

Storage Location

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers provided by MongoDB Atlas, with primary servers located in regions with strong data protection laws. We comply with international data transfer regulations.

Access Controls

Access to personal data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who need it to provide services. All employees and contractors sign confidentiality agreements and undergo security training.

Retention Period

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Session data and reports are kept indefinitely unless you request deletion. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with trusted service providers who help us operate our platform: Razorpay (payment processing), MongoDB Atlas (data storage), OpenAI (AI processing), and Vercel (hosting). All providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Good Therapy, our users, or others.

Business Transfers

If Good Therapy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you via email and/or prominent notice on our platform before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Access & Download

You can access all your session data and reports at any time through your dashboard. You can download reports as PDF files for your personal records.

Correction & Update

You can update your account information (name, language preferences) at any time through your profile settings.

Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data. Go to Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This action is permanent and irreversible.

Data Portability

You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format by contacting support@goodtherapy.ai.

Opt-Out

You can opt out of marketing communications by clicking 'unsubscribe' in any marketing email or adjusting your email preferences in account settings.

Essential Cookies

Local Storage

Good Therapy is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sessions for ages 6-12 should be completed with parental guidance. If we become aware that we've collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

Good Therapy is operated from India. If you access our services from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, you consent to such transfer and processing.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email and/or a prominent notice on our platform. The 'Last Updated' date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Your continued use of Good Therapy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
